Do the SMNP courses offer contact hours?
Great news! SMNP now offers contact hours on our courses. Here is a detailed list:
Live Study Group: 43 CE hours
Complete Self-Prep Course: 27 CE hours
Real Deal NP 1-Day Prep: 10 CE hours
Primary Care Question bank: 10 CE hour
Crash Course: 7 CE hours
In-depth Pharmacology Course: 4 CE hours
In-depth Diagnosis Course: 6 CE hours
Job Hunt Course: 5 CE hours
Is there a CE requirement for AANP vs ANCC?
AANP allows you to retest after completion of 15 contact hours, and will only allow you to test twice in one calendar year. ANCC does not have a contact hour requirement, but they do have a 60 day waiting period before you can test again. And ANCC does not have a cap on how many times you can test in one calendar year.
CE activities must be completed after failing the exam and before the course expiration date to count toward retesting.
How can I claim my CE hours?
To claim course CE hours, complete the post-test located under the Resources tab for each course.
Fill out the survey sent to your email within 24 business hours after completing the post-test.
Each completed survey generates a CE certificate. Ensure you complete surveys for all courses to accumulate the required hours.
Verify that CE certificate dates are after your initial test date, as AANP/ANCC regulations do not allow backdating.
To claim Qbank hours, click "See CE Info" under the profile icon in the top right of your screen.
If a single course does not provide the required 15 CE hours, you can combine multiple courses. For example, combine the Crash Course (7 CE hours) with the FNP Primary Care QBank (10 CE hours) to meet the requirement.
