Study Plan Auto Rebalance

Auto Rebalance automatically keeps your study plan realistic and up to date. If you fall behind on assignments, or if your plan changes to include new materials, Auto Rebalance reshuffles your upcoming work so everything still fits between today and your exam date — without you having to fix anything manually.

How Auto Rebalance Works

You don't need to do anything — it happens automatically! Auto Rebalance checks your plan each time you open your portal, and it steps in in two situations:

  • You've fallen behind. If you have past-due assignments that were never completed, the plan moves that remaining work forward to future days so you're not stuck staring at a pile of overdue tasks. This runs at most once per day, so your plan won't keep shifting on you throughout the day.

  • Your materials changed. If you purchased or were granted new study materials that your original plan didn't include, the plan rebuilds itself to fit them in.

Auto Rebalance does not run while a study plan is in the process of being edited. Each new day you login to study, auto rebalance will initiate. When a rebalance is in progress, the study plan displays a loading state until the updated schedule is available.

Manually Added or Moved Assignments

Assignments that have been manually added or moved remain in place as long as they fall within the current study plan range, from the current date through the Study End Date. If a manually added or moved assignment falls outside of this range, it may be rearranged during Auto Rebalance.

Auto Rebalance Troubleshooting

If your study plan is unable to rebalance automatically, check your Exam Date and Study End Date. Auto Rebalance may be unable to complete when:

  • The Exam Date or Study End Date is in the past.

  • The Study End Date is too soon to accommodate the remaining assignments.

If there is not enough time remaining in the study plan to schedule all remaining assignments, extend the Study End Date before the plan can rebalance.
